Widthipedia is for anyone tired of buying shoes that don't fit.

If you have wide or narrow feet, you know the struggle. Brands publish lengths but rarely widths. Retailers skip extended sizes. So buying shoes becomes an endless loop of ordering, trying on and returning.

Widthipedia was born out of that frustration: a searchable wiki of actual insole measurements by size to help you find shoes that truly fit.

This is where you come in.

Every shoe you try on is data. Whether you keep it or return it, a quick insole measurement takes two minutes and helps the next person avoid the guesswork.

Together we can build the internet's best shoe‑width resource and maybe even nudge brands to do better.

Thank you for being part of it. Suggestions or questions: hello@widthipedia.com

Insole measurements (at size tested)
  1. Prep: Remove the insole from the shoe and lay it completely flat on a hard, even surface.
  2. Measure Length: Place a ruler straight down the middle of the insole. Measure in a straight line from the very centre of the heel edge to the furthest point of the toe edge.
  3. Measure Width: Look at the wide area near the front. Place the ruler perfectly straight across the widest part.
⚠ Do not tilt the ruler diagonally. Keep it strictly horizontal (at a 90-degree angle to the length line).
